29 weeks

Sister Monkey!!  You are growing growing and moving all around.  It is so fun to feel and watch my belly as you dance around in there through out the day!  You are most active when I sit or lay down for the night and today you gave the Dr. some nice kicks when he put the doppler on to check your heart rate.  You are now head down, but as much as you move around that is likely to change several times before you arrive.  Your sister was so tangled in her cord that we keep praying all this movement is going on with out your wrapping yourself up.  We are getting more and more excited to meet you and learn about who you are!  We still don't have a name chosen for you and I'm not counting on having one until the hospital. Maybe we will see which of our favorites you look most like after you are born. As I write this you are distracting my by doing leg presses into my belly button!  Up down, up down!  The last few weeks you've also endured living in my cold virus invested body - lots of coughing shaking you around down there.
We will have a very active next few months and I believe you will be in our arms before we know it!  Next week we are going to see Connie and Briella, then we are going back to Loveland for a few days and then to Oregon for a wedding and then a week with the Watsons!   You will have traveled many many miles in my belly!

How far along: 29 Weeks

Size of Baby: about 15 inches and 2 1/2 pounds

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 20 lbs - guessing I'll gain 30+ish

Maternity Clothes: Mostly - one pair of jeans are still comfortable, otherwise I need the button open or maternity bottoms. My shirts are starting to get short and I can't find my tube top belly bands, so I'm in the process of making belly bands out of knits to have more belly coverage. . I was excited to run into maternity jeans for $2 and an adorable maternity swim suit for $12 thrift shopping!

Gender: Baby Girl!!

Movement: All your movements have become stronger and are more rolling feeling than punches and kicks - although I feel those too.  You are especially active when I lay down at night and through out the night.  The other day it felt like you were doing jumping jacks in there again. Wondering what that will feel like when you are 6 pounds instead of 2 1/2?

Sleep: It is itsn't pregnancy related, but I've had a really hard time sleeping because of a nasty cold.  I get ample opportunities to pee while I'm up coughing and blowing my nose.  Autumn is still sleeping in and not napping, so that is helping! We usually aren't out of be until 9 or 9:30 and even slept until 10:30 one morning.

Symptoms:  Other than peeing all day, nothing else is really bothering me.  Eczema is gone, acne is going away, reflux hasn't bothered me in a while...  However, my belly feels like it is getting huge and we still have 11 weeks of serious growth!!!

Best Moment This Week:  Autumn kissing my belly, snuggling and talking to you before bed.

What I'm Most Looking Forward To: Newborn cuddles, learning about your personality and watching you and Autumn be sisters

Autumn's quotes of the week...

To grandma Nona, "Yeah, I know everything now."

Later in the day after watching a character builder DVD and being asked to put her shoes on before going in the garage, "Mommy, I will try to be obedient. Yes, I will try to be."

"Mommy, her name is still Abby, but I will call her monkey." In reference to her sister (-:

The other day after being asked to put her clothes on, "Mommy I'm not really sure that is really something I want to do right now."

To aunt Laurale , "I still need my mommy, I can't drive yet."

During night time prayers, "God doesn't want me to drive."

With nana while riding her bike, "I needed this helmet, it is helping me peddle.  I really needed it."

26 weeks

26 weeks- 4 miles, 900 ft elevation Lily Mountain Summit
Your first Colorado Hike
22 weeks

Time is flying!!!  We've had quite the busy 6 weeks little Monkey!  About 5 weeks ago your sister renamed you Monkey - so we'll stick with it until your dad and I pick your name!  We left Kona, visited friends and family in Maui, Maryland and have moved back to Colorado.  We will be here until your arrival in about 13 weeks.  During this time we found out that because of insurance, we are going to have to have you in Loveland!  We will have the same Dr as I had with your sister and deliver at the same hospital as your sister and all your Colorado cousins.   I'm starting to get our room ready for you - the crib and changing table are set up and I dug through all Autumn's clothes as well to pick out what we will have for you.  Also Nana has found some cute stuff and Autumn and I have picked out a couple of special outfits!   We can't wait to meet you!!!

How far along: 26 Weeks

Size of Baby: about 14 inches and 1 pound 10 ounces

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 14 lbs - still on track to gain 25-30

Maternity Clothes: They are the most comfortable but I still have a couple pairs of pants and skirts that fit - I'm sure that will be over soon.  Most of my shirts still fit, but I will need to start using a band soon!

Gender: Baby Girl!!

Movement: I feel you kick, squirm, roll and hick up - you are a very active little girl!

Sleep: Pretty well - up a couple times to pee and have to turn over more frequently.  Autumn has been sleeping longer, so I'm trying to get as much as possible!

Symptoms:  Did have a short bought of eczema and am having a bit of reflux pain occasionally - not bad though.

Best Moment This Week:  Having your daddy cuddle and feel your nightly 10 pm wiggles and kicks!

Summer Photo Update

We've been having lots of fun seeing many family members and friends!  Our time in Loveland ended up being mostly family time with a couple of good visits with our good friends from Kona! Autumn enjoyed getting to see her Jackson (as the pictures will show!) and we've now seen every Grandparent, Aunt, Uncle and Cousin!!  We are settling into my parents ohana and are looking forward to a lot of swimming, parks and a little more of a routine for the next month!
